Financial Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will analyze every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice, guidance and work closely with the Managing Director and other senior management on future financial plans - help provide financial visibility and analysis to better make decisions that impact the business. The goal is to enable the companys leaders to make sound business decisions comparing current performances to previous years, in the present and future timeline goals to meet company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide updated and timely financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
Improve and maintain the financial health of the organization by collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements, undertaking strategic analysis and assisting with strategic planning
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the companys actual performance compared to the business plans
Develop trends and projections for the firms finances
Control income, cash flow and expenditure
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
Manage the preparation of the companys budget.
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Work with the legal teams on assist in creating and amending Work Orders and Contracts
Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Education & Qualification Requirements:

A Masters Degree (preferred) in Finance, Economics and/or an MBA from a reputed institution
At least 10-12 years of full-time Post Graduate experience
A finance certification such as the CFA / CA / CPA from leading institutions and other relevant financial certifications would be preferred
Must be a good team player
Analytical and Project Management Skills
Great Communication Skills
o able to grasp the crux of discussions and issues and propose relevant solutions
o Excellent command over English (spoken and written)
