We are looking for an experienced People Champion as our Human Capital Lead. The incumbent will structure and continue to build a strong GVW family. You will have the opportunity of building and motivating a strong team and will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects and implementing agreed HR strategies.

The goal clearly is to look for a people champion to initiate and implement organization and people initiatives that will enable our colleagues to fly.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop organization strategies and implementing initiatives in line with organizational objectives

Implement HR Strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, succession planning and ensuring a healthy pipeline of potential talent, payroll and compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations, rewards and recognition, relevant compliances, and labor relations.

Manages HR Operations from recruiting to exit interview processes; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.

Develops HR Operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Accomplishes Special Project Results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.

Supports Management by providing HR advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications

Guides Management and Employee Actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and nurturing organization values.

Complies with all Legal Requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Updates Job Knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Enhances Department and Organization Reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Leadership, Recruiting, Hiring, Training & Coaching, Organization Development, Communication, Performance Management, Policy Recommendations, Salary and Benefits, Team Building and Employee Engagement & Relations.

The Human Capital Lead will be expected to be proficient in the following:

Organizational Skills: Personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key.

Communication Skills: The Human Capital Lead is expected to lead the HR team, managing diverse personalities and viewpoints. Consequently, emotional intelligence, the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others is vital.

Commercial Acumen: The Human Capital Lead will be increasingly involved in strategic decision-making within the business as an influencer. Being able to understand company finances, resourcing and the ultimate aims of the business is key.

Role Modelling: As a senior member of the company, the incumbent is expected to demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of the organization.

Professional Expertise : A strong working knowledge of employment law issues, best practice processes for disciplinaries, redundancies and payroll are required along with extensive experience in employee relations.

Coaching & Mentoring: The incumbent shall initiate and develop programs that will augment that overall skills of talents throughout the organization.

Trust: As a member of the senior team, you will interface with the CEO, CFO and COO on a regular basis. You will become a trusted confidante on talent issues, unafraid of giving your opinions and expertise.

Education & Good to have Qualifications:

A Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and/or Business Administration, psychology, or any other relevant field
Should have great business acumen (preferably in the Life Science and Pharma industry) through an extensive work experience of more than 10 years
Experience in managing a recruitment team with a strong understanding of talent acquisition
Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates).
Languages: English, Tamil (preferred), Hindi
Ability to be strategic and tactical when making decisions
Expert knowledge on HRIS and other HR-relevant information systems
